New PAC Chairman appointed

At the Annual General Meeting of the Police Athletics Club (PAC) on May 17, Mr Cheng Kwok-hung was appointed Chairman to succeed Mr Lam Man-wing.

In a handing-over speech, Mr Lam thanked all PAC Executive Committee members for their support and assistance in last two years during his tenure as PAC Chairman. He also expressed gratitude to all helpers and volunteers for assisting in PAC activities, in particular the 60th Anniversary of the Dowman Road Race which was held on January 28, attracting more than 2 400 Force members, the second highest number of participants. 

Mr Lam will soon leave for the UK for training in the Royal College of Defence Studies.
      
Taking over a challenging and meaningful job, Mr Cheng said at the meeting he hoped more Force members would participate in PAC traditional events, such as Henry Shield Relay Race, Dowman Road Race, and Police Athletics Championships. He is confident all PAC Executive Committee members would provide unfailing support and concerted effort to help Force members take part in PAC activities.

Lastly, Mr Cheng took the opportunity to thank the outgoing PAC Executive Committee members for their valuable contributions in the past.

In the year ahead, PAC has planned the following activities:
