The fight against technology crimes is one of the Commissioner's Operational Priorities for 2012, underscoring the Force's confidence and competence to maintain a secure cyber environment.

The "Technology Crimes" episode of the "Decoding Commercial Crimes" programme in the Police Magazine TV production illustrates the trends of email scam, e-auction and online shopping fraud and offers useful security tips with a view to raising public awareness of technology crimes.

Technology crimes are evolving swiftly and the modus operandi used by fraudsters varies from time to time.  With the TV episode, Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) not only aims at reminding the general public to pay more attention to technology crimes, but also hopes they would learn how to protect themselves in cyberspace.
