Following the success of a seminar for headmasters and school management in April, Yau Tsim District (YTDIST) hosted another seminar for members of the Parent-Teacher Association on June 26 to remind parents of the employment traps and juveniles crimes that might crop up during the summer holidays.

The seminar commenced with a briefing on employment fraud and prevention of technology crimes, given by a Commercial Crime Bureau officer, followed by a discussion on drug abuse, conducted by a Narcotics Bureau officer. The last part of the seminar was a presentation on "compensated dating", given by an officer from the Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon West. After the briefings, the parents and members of the Yau Tsim Mong District Fight Crime Committee actively took part in a question-and-answer session.

At the conclusion of the seminar, District Fight Crime Committee Chairman, Mr Chan Siu-tong, and Mrs Ling So Ka-lan from the Yau Tsim Mong Education Development Bureau commended YTDIST for organising the seminar for the benefit of both teachers and teachers.
