EDIST Fight Crime Publicity Day
Eastern District (EDIST) has many large shopping malls, which draw a large number of shoppers, especially on holidays. In an effort to remind the shoppers to look after their personal belongings while shopping and to raise public awareness of crime prevention, the EDIST Police Community Relations Office organised a Fight Crime Publicity Day at one of the landmarks in Eastern District, JUSCO Kornhill, on August 21.
Declaring the publicity event open were Chai Wan Divisional Commander Li Hong-man, Chairman of the Eastern District Council Activities Sub-Committee, Mr Kwok Wai-keung, and Chairperson of the Eastern District Fight Crime Committee, Ms Pang Melissa Kaye. Immediately after the opening ceremony, the officiating guests and members of the District Council and Fight Crime Committee handed out fight crime leaflets and souvenirs to shoppers and the local community.
