The District Investigation Team (DIT) 5 of Wan Chai District has captured the Hong Kong Island Best DIT Award following a strict selection process, having edged out outstanding DITs nominated for the contest by the four Districts on Hong Kong Island. All the contestants were picked by their District Commanders for their outstanding performances from December 2010 to November 2011. The assessment committee of the contest was headed by the Deputy Regional Commander of Hong Kong Island. The winners received their award at a presentation ceremony at Hong Kong Island Regional Headquarters on August 23. Speaking at the ceremony, Regional Commander, Dr Cheuk Chun-yin, paid tribute to DIT officers for their hard work, enthusiasm, tenacity and professionalism. Finally, he stressed the importance of co-operation between Uniform Branch and Crime Formation, which, he noted, would enhance not only personal ability and professionalism, but also services to the public. At the presentation, the winners took the opportunity to share with their peers views, observations and experiences about crime investigations. |
