Visit to shipyards
Sham Shui Po District Commander Chiu Kai-ting, accompanied by Assistant District Commander (Crime) Lau Tat-keung and officers of the District's Police Community Relations Office, has visited the shipyards in the vicinity of Stonecutter's Island in a bid to understand more about the core area of the port heavy industry in Hong Kong.
The area is the repairing centre of passenger-carrying vessels and ships travelling between Hong Kong and Macao and Pearl River Delta, the headquarters of the Kwai Chung Container Terminals and building of large boats by shipyards. During this regular visit, the police and shipyard personnel exchanged views on law and order in the area and strengthened liaison and communication.
