After experiencing it's first season of rugby, the Police Rugby Club ladies team, known as "Sirens", participated in the Summer Touch Tournament & Festival 2012 organised by Hong Kong Rugby Football Union during the off-season period. The tournament took place at Happy Valley Recreation Grounds and King’s Park Sports Ground between June and August, attracting over 500 players from 56 teams to join the Mixed, Men’s and Women’s events, with the "Sirens" ladies playing in Division II of the Women’s pool.

Despite their inexperience on the rugby pitch, "Sirens" ladies showed a lot of team spirit and teamwork as well as improvement in a series of matches, pulling off multiple scores and victories in many rigorous matches. After weeks of pool matches and knockouts, "Sirens" ladies finally won the Plate Championship in their first ever participation in the touch tournament. They are elated with their victory and their participation in the tournament was good off-season training for the second season of full-contact Ladies 10s Rugby.

The Police Rugby Club is always looking for new members of both sexes, especially for the upcoming season. No rugby experience is required and all officers, auxiliaries, civilian officers and their family members are welcome to attend the training session at Police Sports and Recreation Club every Tuesday and Thursday between 7 pm and 8.30 pm. Professional coaches will conduct training. For more information, contact the club via email hkprfc@gmail.com.
