Police College opens more e-Learning suites |

Police College has
been applying e-Learning in training for years and set up two
e-Learning suites for trainees on its Aberdeen Campus in 2007. In 2009,
the college's Learning Technologies Division started working with
Information Systems Wing to set up three more e-Learning suites in
order to meet the increasing needs of training using e-Learning
packages. Up to now, over 80 e-Learning packages on various aspects of
policing have been developed. On October 17, the three new e-Learning suites, located in the New Teaching Block and the Old Teaching Block, came into operation, offering, together with the two existing e-Learning suites, a total of 150 Police Data Network computers for trainees between 7:30 am and 11:30 pm each day. With state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, these new facilities are capable of meeting the increasing training needs of recruits and other Force members, as well as arousing their interest in e-Learning. Users welcome the additional new facilities, which can make their study more flexible. |
