Appreciation Corner

Dear Madam/Sir,

We are writing to express our sincere appreciation for the assistance rendered by two traffic police officers on January 29, 2013.  At 5.20 pm on that day, my colleague was driving her private car with me on board heading for Kowloon direction from Tsuen Wan along Kwai Chung Road. All of a sudden, the left back tyre of our car burst and flattened.  We had no choice but pulled over at the side of the highway opposite the Terminal 3 of Kwai Chung Container Terminal.  The traffic was very busy with fast going vehicles and the situation was a bit dangerous.  I immediately made a report to police and a Sergeant (51053) quickly arrived at the scene and suggested that we should drive a bit further to another safer place of the road.  At this juncture, a constable (8611) also arrived.  He was polite and nice.  As my colleague was a bit scared by the fast moving traffic and unable to move her car, the constable rendered his assistance at once.  Finally, we waited for the arrival of a police-contracted towing vehicle to help us change the tyre.

The professional standard of both officers was fully reflected.  Their great work contributed to maintaining road safety as well as preventing traffic accident.  In addition, the caring and enthusiastic manner of the constable also projected the very positive image of the Hong Kong Police.

Once again, please convey our sincere appreciation to the two officers.

Ho & Chan
