||
At the invitation of Police College, Mr Lee Ming-kwai, Executive Director of Hong Kong Institute for Public Administration, and former Commissioner of Police, spoke on "30-year Police Co-operation between Hong Kong and Mainland" at a Management Development Programme seminar at Police Headquarters on January 29. As head of Hong Kong's largest disciplined service for years, Mr Lee has accumulated much valuable experience in corporate management, development of interpersonal relationship and crisis management. In his talk, he made a strategic analysis of the progression of police co-operation from the 1980s to the 21st Century, with highlights in the Handover Ceremony in 1997. He also examined the existing and emerging policing challenges and identified the possible synergy required to address them. The talk was informative and thought provoking. The question-and-answer session, in particular, inspired the audience with confidence to face the challenges ahead. Readers are welcome to revisit the voice recording and Powerpoint of the seminar at the Learning Portal in the Knowledge Management through POINT. |
