The Kimberly Road in Tsim Sha Tsui is known as Hong Kong's "Korea Street", teeming with Korean shops and restaurants. In a bid to reach out to, and engage, the Korean community, Tsim Sha Tsui Division (TSTDIV), together with Kowloon West Regional Crime Prevention Office, organised a Crime Prevention Seminar for the local Korean business community on January 7. As well as raising the audience's awareness of prevalent crimes, the seminar also focused on offering them advice on crime prevention.

Inspector Joey Wong from Yau Ma Tei Division provided simultaneous interpretation at the seminar, making the audience feel at home. The audience was also highly appreciative of TSTDIV's reaching out initiative.

Speaking of the objectives of the seminar, Tsim Sha Tsui Divisional Commander Paul Grove said: "It's always encouraging to identify and engage new sectors of the community, and have the ability through the skill sets of divisional personnel to positively influence attitudes and opinions."

TSTDIV's Community Liaison Group is expected to organise more activities to push community participation.
