Junior Police Officers (JPOs) from the various units of Eastern District (EDIST) formed the EDIST Quality Assurance Team on Integrity Management (QATIM) in August 2010 under the Formation Integrity Committee to promote the concept of integrity.

The QATIM regularly organises IM-related promotional and educational activities. It has been publishing an “Eastern Integrity Bulletin” every six months since September 2011. QATIM members also disseminate integrity messages to their colleagues through various channels and help maintain the Integrity Management Corner at the EDIST website, Resources Centre and Notice Boards.

To further enhance its functions, the QATIM has been expanded to include a scheme of Integrity Ambassadors, who are Inspectors, JPOs, civilian officers, Traffic Wardens and Auxiliary Police officers, under the chairmanship of the EDIST Training and Staff Relations Officer. At first QATIM Meeting with the expanded membership on January 22, Acting Deputy District Commander Ho Ka-fai presented Appointment Certificates to 26 Integrity Ambassadors.

Both the QATIM and Integrity Ambassadors will promote integrity and Force values by organising various activities and reflect their views on IM promotion to the management.
