IPA HK brings New Year greetings to elders |

The International Police Association (Hong Kong Section) (IPA HK) and the Asbury Methodist Social Service jointly organised a charity event on February 2 to celebrate the Lunar New Year with the elderly. In the event held at the Social Centre for the Elderly of the Asbury Methodist Social Service, over 100 elders and IPA HK members had an early celebration of the Lunar New Year with a delicious traditional “Pun Choi” lunch and afternoon entertainments. The event aimed at showing care, spreading festive joy and conveying crime prevention messages to the elderly. It also reminded participants to spare some thought for the needy in times of festivities. IPA HK members and their family also brought along special New Year gift packets for the elders. While singers invited by IPA HK gave a performance of pop songs, two elders reciprocated with dramas on prevention of telephone and street scams.. |
