The Police Rugby Club has embarked on a recruitment drive to attract new blood for one of the world's fastest growing sports after its inclusion in the 2016 Olympics.  Rugby offers players an opportunity to take part in a team sport that emphasises on fitness, camaraderie, discipline and above all fun.

The club fields three adult men's teams and a ladies team for the Hong Kong leagues in the rugby season. In addition, there is a mini rugby section that offers fun filled training sessions to children of Force members every Sunday morning in Police Sports and Recreation Club (PSRC).

To attract new blood to this popular sport, the club will be running a Summer Training Programme for adult beginners, both male and female. The programme is open to all Force members (regular, auxiliary and civilian officers) as well as anyone who has taken a sabbatical absence from the game and fancies lacing up their boots again.

The programme will run every Tuesday on PSRC rugby pitch between 7 pm and 8:30 pm, commencing from July 16. Qualified coaches, including the Force's Hong Kong international players, Police Constables Tsang Hing-hung and Ade Wong Man-han, will conduct training. The programme provides an excellent opportunity to learn a new sport and keep fit at the same time. No previous experience is needed and no fee is charged.

Anyone interested in joining the beginners training programme is welcome to head for  PSRC on Tuesday evenings, starting from July 16 and bring along their sports kit. For more information, email hkprugby@gmail.com.
