Organised street gambling is fairly common at public places like housing estates and parks. To help officers tackle this problem, Police College held a Knowledge Café session for 108 officers at different ranks on June 25.
At the session, speakers and officers discussed the trend of, and the ways to deal with, the problem. Chief Inspector Teresa Chiang, Sergeant Li Man-hung and Sergeant Koo Ka-king shared their experience of investigation and evidence collection in connection with organised street gambling, and cited cases to illustrate dos and don'ts. In general, the participants found the session useful for tackling street gambling.
