Following a series of hotly contest matches over the past four months, the Force's Ladies' Team retained the title of the Secretary for Security's Basketball Tournament on July 6, edging out Correctional Services Department. The Force's Men's Team lost only marginally to Fire Services Department to take the first runner-up place.

At the same time, Police Constable Chan Sau-kin and Inspector Hung Yat-na clinched the "Best Shooter" title for male and female players respectively.

Director of Personnel and Training Chau Kwok-leung, Chairman of the Hong Kong Police Sports Council Li Kin-fai, and committee members of the Police Basketball Club were on hand to congratulate the Force players on their performances at the finals of the tournament and encourage them to try their best to win at the World Police and Fire Games in Belfast, Ireland, next month.
