Western District (WDIST) held a fight crime exchange forum for the local community on August 20.

Among the guests at the function were Chairman of Central & Western District Council, Mr Yip Wing-shing, Chairman of Central & Western District Fight Crime Committee (DFCC), Mr Yip Chun-nam, Chairman of Southern DFCC, Mr Leung Ho-kwan, Honorary Adviser, Dr Yip Shu-lam, presidents of Western District Junior Police Call (JPC) Honorary President Council, and over 40 District Councillors and community leaders.

Speaking at the forum, WDIST Commander, Chief Superintendent (CSP) Choy Wise pointed out that the overall crime situation in WDIST in the first half of this year remained stable. Detective Inspector Lam Siu-ping, briefed the participants on the modus operandi of various scams and technology crimes, and the related preventive measures. 

Meanwhile, kaifong organisations took the opportunity of the forum to present banners, silver plates and letters of appreciation to outstanding officers of WDIST in recognition of their efforts in maintaining law and order.
