Wan Chai District (WCHDIST), Wan Chai District Council, Wan Chai District Office and Wan Chai District Fight Crime Committee jointly held a "Kick-off Ceremony for Fight Crime Publicity Campaign cum Singing Contest" on August 24 to promote the public awareness of drugs abuse.

Officiating at the event were Wan Chai District Officer, Miss Angela Luk, Chairman of Wan Chai District Council, Mr Suen Kai-cheong, Chairman of District Fight Crime Committee, Mr Chan Hing-ming, and Acting WCHDIST Commander Mak Chin-ho.  

Finally, three winners were chosen from over 30 semi-finalists in the Leighton Hill Community Hall, Happy Valley, and all the participants vowed to steer clear of drugs.
