Man charged with murder

Police today (May 4) charged a 44-year-old man with one count of murder.

The man was arrested in connection with a murder case on December 17, 1997 in which his 25-year-old wife was found dead at a flat on Sha Tsui Road in Tsuen Wan. He left for the Mainland on the same day. The Mainland Public Security officers located him in Lo Wu on April 10 this year and returned him to the Hong Kong Police on this Tuesday (May 2).

The man will appear in Tsuen Wan Magistrates' Courts this afternoon.
