Regional Traffic Day in Kowloon East

Police officers issued a total of 241 Fixed Penalty Tickets (FPTs) and 106 summonses to road users violating traffic regulations during the Regional Traffic Day in Kowloon East.

The operation concluded at 11 pm yesterday (May 8) and a total of 212 officers from Traffic Kowloon East and District Traffic Teams of Wong Tai Sin, Sau Mau Ping and Kwun Tong were deployed to enforce traffic regulations at traffic black sites in Kowloon East.

A total of 206 FPTs were issued for parking offences.

Thirty pedestrians and 124 drivers were cautioned for committing minor traffic offences.

Meanwhile, pamphlets and leaflets on road safety were also distributed to road users.

Statistics revealed that a total of 607 traffic accidents involving casualties occurred in Kowloon East from January to April this year.
