Three persons charged with conspiracy to defraud
Police today (May 27) charged one man and two women, aged between 30 and 52, jointly with one count of conspiracy to defraud.
They were arrested on May 25 in connection with fraudulent cash-planting schemes involving a company located at the Hong Kong International Trade & Exhibition Centre, Kowloon Bay. About 200 victims were induced into the schemes.
They will appear in Eastern Magistrates' Courts on Monday (May 29).
The remaining five persons arrested in the same operation, including two men and three women aged between 29 and 45, have been bailed out pending further investigations.
