Fatal traffic accident in Pat Heung

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Pat Heung this (July 24) morning in which a 25-year-old man was killed.

Shortly after 4.20 am, a private car driven by a 24-year-old man and a motorbike driven by the 25-year-old man were travelling along Kam Tin Road towards Pat Heung in sequence. While reaching near Ha Ko Po Tsuen, the motorbike reportedly cut lane and collided with the private car.

Sustaining serious injuries, the motorcyclist was rushed to the North District Hospital where he was certified dead at 5.08 am. Meanwhile, a 25-year-old female passenger of the private car was also injured and sent to the North District Hospital.

Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic New Territories North are underway.
