Death of woman in Yau Ma Tei

Police are investigating the death of a woman in Yau Ma Tei this afternoon (October 5).

About 12.50pm, a female staff member from a hotel in Arthur Street told Police that she had found a woman collapsed inside a hotel room.

When Police arrived at the hotel, they found the woman lying unconscious on the bed.

The woman was subsequently certified dead at the scene. Initial examinations revealed red marks on her neck and the death is being treated as suspicious.

The dead woman was about 30 to 35 years old and did not have any identity document.

A post-mortem will be conducted tomorrow (October 6) to ascertain the cause of death.

Investigations by Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon West are under way.
