Appeal for information about body found in sea off Lantau (with photos)

Police today (October 24) appealed for information that may help them identify a body found in the sea off Disneyland Phase 2 reclamation area on October 12.

The body of a man was found on a rocky beach at the seashore of Disneyland Phase 2 reclamation area about 4.30pm on October 12, but police have been unable to confirm his identity.

The body is that of a man aged about 30 to 40, about 1.72 metres tall and weighing about 75 kilogrammes. The man was bald.

When found, he was wearing a blue T-shirt with a logo "B&L", blue jeans with a black belt and brown shoes with white socks.

An initial police investigation revealed that the man had been dead for up to a week before his body was found. Police have also ruled out any suspicious circumstances.

Anyone who may have any information about the man is asked to contact the investigating officers of Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-unit of Lantau North Division at 2988 2330.
