Reporting a Complaint

You can lodge a complaint against the Police in the following ways:

  • Attend the report room of any police station (If it is a complaint of serious nature, e.g. assault, you should report without delay to any police station to enable early medical examination and collection of evidence.);
  • Make an appointment through the complaint hotline at 2866 7700 to lodge a complaint to Complaints Against Police Office in person;
  • Call the complaint hotline at 2866 7700 or by fax to 2200 4460 or 2200 4461;
  • By post to the Complaints Against Police Office, Police Headquarters, 1 Arsenal Street, Wan Chai;
  • Use the Complaint Against Police e-Report form (Once you press the submit button, the form will be sent to Complaints Against Police Office for further processing during OFFICE HOURS (GMT+8).); or
  • 'Complaint Against Police' function at the ‘e-Report Centre’ of the Hong Kong Police Mobile App.

Important Notices

  • You may be liable to prosecution for a criminal offence if you willfully state anything which you know to be false or do not believe to be true.
  • Your personal data will be used for handling the complaint you make or other directly related purposes.
