Headed by a Superintendent, the Division is the operational arm of Marine Regional Headquarters. It assists Seagoing Divisions with day-to-day operations and provides a rapid response capability to emergencies such as search and rescue and initial response to counter-terrorism under the ISPS Code.
Headed by a Superintendent, Crime Marine serves as the Region’s investigative arm responsible for investigating serious and complicated crimes that occur within the Region, including syndicated illegal immigration and serious maritime accidents. Crime Marine also prevents and detects crimes by planning and executing intelligence-led operations as well as provides expert advice on crime prevention measures to maritime and island communities including ISPS operators.
