Introduction

The “ JPC Innovation and Technology Competition 2024-25 ” will continue to be based on the concept of a “Smart City”, allowing primary and secondary school students to propose innovative and feasible solutions through experiential learning. The competition has also incorporated more policing and technology elements including “ community safety ”, “ fraud prevention and crime fighting ”, “ youth drug prevention ”, “ artificial intelligence ” and “ gerontechnology ”, which not only help students gain a better understanding of police work but also allow them to express their creativity and work together to prevent and combat crime.

Champion (1 place):
HK$6,000 Scholarship

First runner-up (1 place):
HK$4,000 Scholarship

Second runner-up (1 place):
HK$3,000 Scholarship

Commendation Award (10 awards):
HK$800 Scholarship

Application and Submission of Entries

Junior primary school category is open to individuals, who should submit the following items:

Creative Design Drawing (A3 Size) with Brief Description Form
Participants can make use of their innovative thinking skills to present on drawing paper anyone of the themes of community safety, youth drug prevention, artificial intelligence, fraud prevention and crime fighting, and gerontechnology, along with a brief introduction.

Champion (1 place):
HK$10,000 Scholarship

First runner-up (1 place):
HK$8,000 Scholarship

Second runner-up (1 place):
HK$6,000 Scholarship

Other Awardees (20 places):
HK$1,500 to HK$3,000 Scholarship

Application and Submission of Entries

Senior primary school category is open to both individuals and teams (maximum five members each), who should submit the following three items:

1.Project Report
Participants are required to conduct research, experiments or investigations into the Competition theme and compile the project report.

2. Explainer Video
Participants are required to make a video on the concept of the Creative Entry or even a semi-finished product, briefly explaining its effectiveness, uses, and practical operation.

3. Creative Entry
Participants are expected to create a physical creative product
