2005-03-23 17:13 Police today (March 23) charged nine men each with one count of being a member of triad society. One of them, a 21-year-old man, was also charged with two counts of trafficking in dangerous drugs. The men were arrested by officers of the Organised Crime and Triad Bureau in an undercover anti-triad operation codenamed "Airstreamer" conducted in Tung Chung on March 21. The nine men aged between 14 and 21 were arrested for various triad and drug related offences including being a member of triad society, inviting a person to become a member of triad society and trafficking in dangerous drugs. The defendants will appear in Tsuen Wan Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (March 24). Police are still locating another two men in connection with this case. |
