The tenure of 2nd Term of AWP Central Advisory Board (CAB) is between the year of 2023 and 2025.
The AWP is divided into headquarters and regional level.
At headquarters level, the Force has formed up a Central Advisory Board, comprising of representatives of relevant Government Departments, animal welfare organisations, experts and community leaders, etc. to provide strategic advice and suggestions to the Police in event and publicity planning concerning prevention of cruelty to animals.
At regional level, the Regional Crime Prevention Offices strive to enhance direct communication with local stakeholders and have recruited animal lovers in the community as AWP Captains and AWP Watchers. The AWP Captains and Watchers will assist the Force in organising relevant education and publicity programmes. On intelligence gathering and investigation, the AWP Captains and Watchers will, through their community networks, assist the Force in gathering intelligence relating to the prevention of cruelty to animals. They will also remind the public to stay alert on possible animal cruelty incidents in the neighborhood and on the Internet and make timely report.
