When I first joined JPC, I was in primary 5. Although I have been a member of JPC for a long time, I only had a blurred image of it because I had never been active. I even thought that JPC was boring. After I had become a committee member of Yuen Long District JPC Council, I was proven wrong.
JPC is a vitalising stage for us to explore and strengthen ourselves with amiable leaders and proactive members. We can choose the activities that we like according to interest and talent. During a training camp of the Council, I met many friends. With lots of cooperative efforts, we overcame difficulties and solved problems in activities. In the “Amazing Race” game, our team went to different places to do the tasks. It became very hard because we lost our map and hints! Luckily, my teammates remembered some routes and we managed to make our way to many checkpoints. Eventually we completed our race! In spite of losing the game, we still looked forward to the next competition. I came to decide that JPC would become an essential part of my school life.
Last but not least, I will organise more fascinating outdoor activities to encourage teenagers to join, which can promote JPC at the same time. I hope JPC will be more well-known in different schools, and more teens are willing to take part in JPC’s programmes.
