The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional Chinese festival celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month in the Chinese lunar calendar. One of the many good ways to feel the atmosphere is to watch the Dragon Boat competition at the Shing Mun River. The competition is a good demonstration of how people co-operate with each other as a team to race to the finish line. Spectators can also feel the excitement aroused during the intense competition.
The Dragon Boat Festival also offers us a golden chance to have a great family day out. Since the Dragon Boat Festival is a public holiday, I can have some outdoor fun activities with my parents, such as a family picnic, to spend some quality time and perhaps a delicious meal together.
