Every Lunar New Year, I receive approximately $2,000 red packet money. It is advisable to have a detailed plan to guide yourself how to spend the money. Here is my plan – it will be divided into three parts: learning, entertainment, and charity and saving.
For learning, $500 will be used to buy books that I like to read, such as fiction and encyclopaedia. This can stimulate my interests in reading. I would use another $500 to buy some supplementary exercise books that help me in revision.
Next, I would allocate $500 for entertainment and $300 for a new jacket. Moreover, I would like to use $200 as the entry fees of two different competitions in which I will take part. They can surely broaden my horizons.
Finally, $500 was left for charity and saving. I would donate $200 to the charities, and save up the rest.
