Having joined the Western JPC for over 3 years, I have participated in numerous activities that are all very meaningful and interesting. But if you ask me the best activity that I had, it will undoubtedly be the exchange trip to Italy.
As a student who studied world history, I have always been fond of cultures with complex historical background. To me, Italy has been an ideal country to broaden my horizon and further my interest. With all the anticipations I bear, the JPC trip didn’t let me down. At first glance, Italy lived up to her legacy as being a heaven for history lovers. The streets and architectures retained their original style and features. The moment I stepped on the cobblestoned street of Florence, I immersed myself into the overwhelming atmosphere as if I was participating in historical events. The passion and determination of both the people and the government on preserving heritage actually amazed me. Overall, it was an inspiring and extraordinary learning opportunity, as I was able to absorb valuable experience while interacting with foreigners.
