Following the visit to Police College's Foundation Training Centre by the district fight crime committees (DFCCs) on Hong Kong Island, the DFCCs from Kwun Tong, Sai Kung and Wong Tai Sin in Kowloon East made a similar visit on August 30.

The visit started with Recruit Training Division Superintendent Tan Wing-yuen introducing the objectives and contents of training. After the introduction, the DFCC members were taken on a guided tour to see training facilities, including recruit police constables barracks, outdoor range and the Tactics Training Complex, and meet probationary inspectors for discussion on their training and life on the campus.

On conclusion of their visit, the DFCC members were delighted to have the opportunity to meet college instructors and trainees and get to know more about police training and have more confidence in the Force.

To engage the community, the Force launched the "Hong Kong Police Mobile Application" and the "Hong Kong Police YouTube" last year and in March this year respectively. At the same time, Police College constantly reminds trainees of their roles in community engagement.
