"Education and Culture Building" is one of the important elements of the Integrated Integrity Management Framework. Earlier this month, the Internal Investigations Office (IIO) published a new edition of the "Corruption and Misconduct Prevention Bulletin" (CMPB) for promoting the Force Values of integrity and honesty by reminding Force members of integrity pitfalls with scenarios modified from real-life cases.
The new CMPB aims at reminding Force members of the responsibility when they are both on and off duty. It consists of six scenarios illustrating some integrity pitfalls such as making false declarations in loan applications and developing inappropriate relationship with witnesses. Supervisors are asked to remind their subordinates of the scenarios so that they would make a correct judgment when encountering similar integrity-related pitfalls.
The new CMPB has been distributed through Training and Staff Relations Office. Officers can also access it through Ethics Corner in POINT. Those having suggestions on the new Bulletin may contact Chief Inspector New Territories IIO Kong Wing-cheung at 2860-2659 or email to cip-nt-iio@police.gov.hk.
