The Tai Po Junior Police Call (TPDIST JPC) celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival in advance with a "Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival" at its clubhouse on the evening of September 14. 
 
Among the guests sharing the fun with 200 JPC members and other participants were TPDIST Commander Cheuk Hau-yip, Chairman of Tai Po JPC Honorary President Council, Dr Tang Lung, Chairman of Tai Po District Fight Crime Committee, Mr Kwok Wing-keung, members of Tai Po District Council and North District Council, principals of School Clubs, teachers and students.
 
The carnival also featured a "Green Festive Objects Design Competition", in which the contestants designed lanterns using festive objects. In the contest, JPC members incorporated environmental friendly elements in their works and demonstrated their creativity. Mr Cheuk and JPC Honorary Presidents selected the prize-winning works.
 
The evening also saw JPC Council Committee members staging a drama to promote crime prevention and crime fighting, drawing loud applause from the guests.
