Staff of Information Systems Wing held a special gathering on September 19 to celebrate not only the Mid-autumn Festival, but also winning of the Commissioner Unit Commendation by Communications Branch for the second time.

 

Communications Branch has been commended for displaying professionalism, devotion to duty, commitment and teamwork between 2010 and 2013 whilst supporting operations for public order events; enhancing CC3 radio coverage to Mass Transit Railway Stations along the Hong Kong Island Line; and for improving the Marine Region Communications Systems for operations against illegal immigration and smuggling in Fan Lau area.

 

Back in 2008, Communications Branch pulled off the CP Unit Commendation for supporting the Beijing Olympic Equestrian Events. The second commendation is a big encouragement for Communications Branch officers on the occasion of the Branch's 30th Anniversary as well as a motivation to continue to strive for excellence.
