The "Kowloon East Project Teens Sharing Love and Care with Sweet Cookies" event organised by Kowloon East (KE) Regional Crime Prevention Office came to a successful conclusion on September 28. In the event, police officers joined hands with the "Project Teens" in handing out leaflets on beating and preventing crimes to elders in Wong Tai Sin and reminding them to stay alert to phone and street scams.

To get the event off the ground, the "Project Teens" and volunteer helpers learned making cookies at the Lower Wong Tai Sin Estate Centre of the Hong Kong Employment Development Service Ltd. They took the job seriously during the three-hour work process because the cookies were meant for the elders of the PCHK Tsz Fung Neighbourhood Elderly Centre at Fung Tak Estate, Wong Tai Sin. When the neatly packed cookies were brought to the centre, both the participants and the elderly shared the joy.

Through the event, crime prevention messages were brought to the elderly lest they should fall preys to crimes.  The elders enjoyed the cookies and felt the love and care of the "Project Teens" while the latter experienced the satisfaction of making a small contribution to society.
Besides beat crime messages, these "Project Teens" also offer elders cookies as a token of their love and care
