The Force hosted the 14th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Police and Security Forces Sports Exchange from October 15 to 18, with senior officials from the three law enforcement agencies and the Police Liaison Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong attending various events and renewing acquaintance at the same time.
Officiating at the opening of the Tripartite Sports Exchange were Deputy Commissioner (Management) Ma Wai-luk, Director of the Political Department of Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department, Mr Pan Zhanxin, and Director of the Academy of Public Security Forces of Macao, Mr Hoi Sio-iong.
A total of 182 athletes from the three places took part in the Tripartite Sports Exchange, which saw nail-biting contest in shooting, cross-country run, tennis, football and table tennis. Force athletes won the shooting, cross-country run and football, earning the title of the overall champion for the Force.
In the evening of October 17, the Force hosted a closing dinner and prize presentation ceremony, in which Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung and senior officials of the Force thanked for the visiting athletes for supporting the Tripartite Sports Exchange. At the same time, The Deputy Director General of Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department, Ms Luo Juan, presented the overall champion trophy to the Chairman of the Hong Kong Police Sports Council, Mr Li Kin-fai, marking a perfect finale to the Tripartite Sports Exchange.
The Tripartite Sports Exchange has been running for 14 years, offering a good platform for senior officials from the three law enforcement agencies to enhance friendship, communication, understanding and co-operation.
