To update frontline officers on the arms licensing regime and dealing with licensing matters related to moneylenders, the Specialised Services Training Centre of Police College held a Knowledge Café on “The Latest Update on Arms Licensing Regime and Processing of Money Lenders Licence - Policy and Enforcement” at Police Headquarters on October 17.

 

Two experienced speakers from Support Wing, Senior Inspector (SIP) Raymond Lee and SIP Cola Tang, shared their experience with more than 70 participants. SIP Lee gave an update on review of the Arms Licensing Regime with case studies and pointed out the important steps of processing and inspecting arms licences while SIP Tang analysed the trend of debt collection activities in Hong Kong and explained the procedures of collecting evidence and prosecuting moneylenders for breaching licensing conditions in a recent case.
