The Head of the European Union Office (EU Office) to Hong Kong and Macao, Mr Vincent Piket, paid a courtesy call on Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung on April 9. He was the first EU Office representative to pay an official visit to the Force.

 

Since 1993, EU delegates have been stationed in Hong Kong for the trade co-operation between the two places. As the EU representative for Hong Kong and Macao, Mr Piket exchanged views with Mr Tsang on many issues, including the local crime trend.

 

The courtesy call enabled the EU to get a better understanding of the work of the Force and laid a solid foundation for closer co-operation between EU and Hong Kong.
