Kwai Tsing District's (KWTDIST) "Project New Dawn" captured the Gold Prize of the Specialised Service Award of the Civil Service Outstanding Service Award Scheme 2013 last year.  To perpetrate the principle of the project - "Helping Others", the gift vouchers for the Gold Prize have been donated to the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association for helping recovering mental health patients.

 

At a "Volunteer Award Ceremony cum Fun Day" held on March 29, the KWTDIST Volunteer Team, led by Kwai Chung Divisional Commander Ho Yun-sing, distributed 250 lucky bags containing daily household necessities to the patients.  The team members also took the opportunity to get acquainted with the needs of the patients. For the team members, their deed not only enhanced understanding of the vulnerable persons, but also projected the Force's image in good light.
