In the wake of the shooting incident at Kai Ching Estate, Kowloon Bay, on May 31, the chairmen of the 18 District Fight Crime Committees (DFCC) sent a letter of appreciation to Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung on June 4, praising officers for their prompt and professional actions in the incident. 

 

At a presentation ceremony at Kowloon East Regional Headquarters on June 4, Kowloon East Acting Regional Commander Cheng Shuk-chun received the letter from seven DFCC chairmen on behalf of CP in front of the officers involved in operation and investigation of the incident. The chairmen were Dr Cheng Kam-chung (Sham Shui Po District), Mr Chow Yiu-ming (Kwun Tong District), Mr Lee Yuet-man (Yuen Long District), Mr Chan Siu-tong (Yau Tsim Mong District), Mr Li Shing-kuen (Wan Chai District), Mr Yip Chun-nam (Central and Western District) and Dr Yeung Hoi-shan (Kwai Tsing District).

 

After the presentation on the same day, CP paid a visit to the officers and encouraged them to continue with their good work.
