Dear Sirs,
As a Chinese living permanently in Australia, I am a frequent visitor of HK, sometimes with my family. On 12/07/2014, I took a taxi from the airport to a hotel but lost my mobile phone in which there are many important photos of my family and particularly of my patients (over 2,500 pictures). Being a surgical doctor working in Melbourne, I was particularly worried about my patients' ID and their pictures being at risk of going public.
My appreciation particularly goes to your officers in the police station who quickly identified the taxi driver and my phone was returned on the same day. This is the first time I have to seek help in HK from HK police, and the officers on duty that day showed very high level of professionalism and efficiency in solving my problem. They showed their care about the public, which gave me a lot of confidence and comfort. They also shared my concerns.
HK has been a great place to be for me for many (~20) years, and now I think is probably even better than I thought. The police officers demonstrated to me that HK is a place with very good police support and protection. With the best of both Asian and Western cultures integrated in society, I am confident HK will become an even better place in the years to come. Much appreciated, HK!
