警聲

Dear Sir,

Our friends as a group of four went hiking from Lei Yue Mun to Tiu Keng Leng, but one of them could not make it to a high rock. For safety reasons, our team split up in groups of two so that we could look after the girls.

Two of our friends got back to the road, but my friend and I were heading back to Lei Yue Mun and suddenly there were a thunderstorm and rain. The slopes were extremely slippery and we tried our best to go back, but the pathway was extremely slippery. We then called 999 for help.

The operator was very friendly and asked the Fire Services Department to search for us. Eventually we were spotted and the Marine Operations teams came too. Under unstable and windy conditions by the rocky shores, they managed to rescue us safely.

The marine officers were extremely helpful, friendly and concerned about our safety. The response to the decision to use a speedboat to reach us was much faster than I expected.

I would like to say a big Thank You. You guys were very professional! Once again thank you for saving my friend's life and mine!

Y. W. Shek
