NZP Commissioner calls on CP

At the invitation of Information Services Department, the Commissioner of New Zealand Police (NZP), Mr Mike Bush, visited Hong Kong from December 16 to 21 last year. On December 18, Mr Bush paid a courtesy call on Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung.

As NZP is one of the Force's major strategic partners in the Asia Pacific Rim, Mr Tsang took the opportunity to express his appreciation and gratitude to Mr Bush for establishing a partnership in combating international crimes.

Mr Bush toured the Marine Region Command and Control Centre and attended demonstrations on high-speed pursuit, interception and forced boarding. He also visited Narcotics Bureau and Organized Crime and Triad Bureau to get a better picture of the Force's strategies of combating narcotics and organised crime.

The visit has fortified the foundation for the co-operation between the two Forces and paved the way for a closer working relationship.
