In the "Christmas Countdown" and "New Year 2015 Countdown and Fireworks", the Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) members of Yau Tsim District's "Project Gemstone" manned an enquiry booth at three locations in Tsim Sha Tsui and handed out publicity leaflets to the public, such as tips on how to be a smart tourist, map on traffic diversions for fireworks and protection of personal property. This volunteer service not only facilitated crowd control in Yau Tsim District, but also offered the NEC students an opportunity to render a community service and disseminate fight crime messages.
