Realising that Yuen Long is home to many Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC), Yuen Long District (YLDIST) has continued providing Nepali course for frontline officers in their spare time. Besides elementary Nepali, the course also covered other important topics like the ways of life, cultures and traditions of the Nepalese so that the trainees would be able to communicate with the NEC more effectively. 

 

Presenting graduation certificates to the trainees on January 5, Deputy District Commander Kerry Carew called on the officers to get better equipped in the interest of their professionalism. After the graduation ceremony, the officers said they were confident of serving the NEC more effectively.
