Officers of the Juvenile Protection Section (JPS) under the Regional Crime Prevention Office of New Territories South led a party of 23 youngsters under Superintendent's Discretion to visit the Jockey Club "Life Journey Centre" of the Senior Citizen Home Safety Association on December 29, 2014.
The SP's Discretion supervisees toured the centre's four zones, namely "Are You Ready for the Journey", "The Many Choices in Life", "One-way Tunnel" and "Rest in Peace". At the end of the touring, social workers offered the youngsters a sharing session and a workshop, hoping they would find out the meanings of "youth" and "old age" and realise how valuable time is.
After the visit, the youngsters were amazed at the fleeting of time and saw the needs to care for the persons around them, create a full life and do good deeds.
