The Director-general of the Political Department, Ministry of Public Security, Mr Xia Chongyuan, led a 14-member delegation to visit Hong Kong between March 25 and 29.
On the first day of the visit, Mr Xia paid a courtesy call on Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung, during which Mr Xia praised the Force for offering a model for personnel management and training.
The delegation comprised senior officials from a number of different units, including the Central Organisation Department, Ministry of Finance, Department of Human Resources and Social Security, Wages and Benefits, Civil Service Bureau and the Central Political and Legal Committee.
The delegation also visited Personnel Wing, Police College and Support Wing and had discussions and exchanged views on recruitment, training, promotion, management and fringe benefits.
Upon conclusion of the visit, Mr Xia thanked the Force for laying on a very comprehensive programme for his delegation and looked forward to more similar exchanges with the Force for the benefits of both Hong Kong and the Mainland.
